Kith Tab

A private browsing memory for people juggling research and online work: find useful pages, keep references close, and preview tab cleanup without losing your trail.

Kith Tab Saved workspace with four sample references, personal notes, project tags, visit counts, and attention totals.

Kith Tab helps people who work across too many browser tabs keep useful pages within reach. Instead of leaving everything open as a reminder, its Browsing Ledger brings pages, visits, attention, and personal context into a searchable workspace.

The interface separates finding pages, saving durable references, returning to unfinished reading, and reviewing cleanup. A Manifest V3 extension connects Chrome and Vivaldi to a React dashboard backed by Cloudflare Workers and D1.

What you can do

  • Find pages by title, URL, site, or note, with browser, date, project, and tag filters.
  • Keep a reference shelf in Saved and a reading inbox in Return Later, with notes, projects, tags, visits, and attention alongside each page.
  • Choose a browser and preview cleanup candidates before authorizing closure. The preview explains its ranking and protects pinned, Keep, active, and audible tabs.
  • Review archived cleanup groups and choose Restore all or Restore selected into a target browser.
  • Pause automatic collection for fifteen minutes, one hour, or until resumed, and control site collection and cleanup through separate rules.

From a crowded browser to a focused workspace

Start in Find to recover a page from your browsing trail. Save lasting references and send unfinished reading to Return Later. In Clean up, select the browser and set how many tabs to leave open; review the proposed candidates and protections before proceeding. Archived cleanup groups remain available for revisiting their pages.

About this demo

These screenshots show the current development interface running locally with synthetic browsing data. Search, Saved and Return Later views, cleanup preview, and collection pause and resume were exercised against the real Worker and local D1 database. The preview selected six of twelve sample tabs, retained three by ranking, and protected three through Keep, pinning, and active-tab status. Cleanup history was seeded to show the restoration interface; browser closure and restoration were not exercised in this capture session. The sample browsers have no live extension connected, so their status can appear offline. Kith Tab remains a prototype and is a working name.
